Perfect timing for the delivery of the plywood plates today. The sky opened for a moment and we were able to unload the truck under dry conditions. We werent able to fill in the form early enough to get our faculties forklift, but fortunately the street was under construction and the friendly excavator operator was openminded to help us. The first time we were happy that a road was closed for repair ...someones problems someone elses happyness.
We got a decent price from International Plywood BV for the building material and a very good advise which material will be the best to use for our flightcases. Did you know, that the plates have different names internationally ? In Germany its Multiplex, in the Netherlands Triplex, even if it has more than 3 layers and in the United States of America its plywood.

this blog is dedicated to the Bucky Lab from the TU Delft faculty of Architecture. Within the mastercourse we design, develop and at the end build architecture and building construction related prototypes. Its a "get your hands dirty" approach in which the students learn how to translate concepts from sketch into working prototypes. We try to live the spirit of buckminster fuller: what ever you can imagine, you can also build!
