this blog is dedicated to the Bucky Lab from the TU Delft faculty of Architecture. Within the mastercourse we design, develop and at the end build architecture and building construction related prototypes. Its a "get your hands dirty" approach in which the students learn how to translate concepts from sketch into working prototypes. We try to live the spirit of buckminster fuller: what ever you can imagine, you can also build!

Open Dag Hout
Short before we will start our new semester with a group of 64 new students we are heading west to join the Open Day Wood ( open dag hout in dutch ) in Zutphen. These event already has a long tradition and seems to grow bigger and bigger. On invitation of Jaap Bosma from woodworking.nl who is known in the bucky lab already for giving introduction courses during our building weeks we will build a couple of small boxes to show the step by step process of making it and show our mobile workshop in cooperation with festool.nl
So if you like wood and tools as much as we do, join us and visit us in Zutphen on sunday the 27th of September. For more info and the program have a look here on http://opendaghout.nl
If you like to work with us, send a message to Marcel
And here a first glimpse of what we will build …maybe with a little twist
