Paper Cave at CEPI25

You may remember our summer school in Wroclaw this year, next to all the great projects we build within the topic of work and chill we also build a huge cardboard cave for the Confederation of european paper industries in short CEPI.

We did not showed so much from the pavilion but today we went to Brussels and set this pavilion up to be unveiled for the first time in public. The pavilion was designed as a highlight for the symposium from CEPi and meant to be as an exhibition space also. So next to the honeycomb structure itself the pavilion was equipped with niches to show innovative paper products and was equipped with sound and little screens showing presentations.

The set up was quite an international collaboration, having the design team from Wroclaw flown into Brussels from Milano, St.Sebastian and Wroclaw we also joined with a team from the TU Delft ...already hitting the road at 5.30 in Delft ...

We arrived in Brussels with a bit of a delay and quickly started with unloading the truck that drove all the way down from Wroclaw to the capital of Belgium. After a short moment the entrance of the Radisson Blu was filled with cardboard elements and we started to set up the pavilion.

After just 3 hours we had the leds glowing the structure set and were able to place the exhibition parts, while a crowd of symposium visitors checked in for the hotel.

Right now the symposium is in full swing, our Cardboard expert Jerzy Latka also was invited as a speaker and the entire team was congratulated from the organizer for their effort in building this wonderful structure.

Special compliments for the Design and Build team: Dina Cheliadina, Olga Gumienna, Karolina Dyjach, Paulina Urbanik and Ewa Hejducka and our Delft magic team to help setting it up Jeroen Wassing, Ammar Taher, Ivan Avdic, and Okan Turkcan, without you we wouldn't have made it possible so quickly.

At the end everything came together beautiful and seeing the students again was such a pleasure.

enough words, here some pictures

Super Structure Mojo Lowlands

Did you remember our assignment from last year we did with Mojo ? We asked to imagine a new type of shelter or tent to create a better environment during festivals.

One of the elevator pitches in fact the one from Alvaro Rodriguez Garcia was dead on, and Mojo had to mention after our presentation session that this idea is so good, that they actually ordered it already a couple of month ago for their new Alpha tent during lowlands. So really a cray coincidence that this idea was already on their table and Alvaro did not know anything about it in general .. when the request is set up well, there must be similar ideas isnt it ?

No matter what, while Alvaro joined another team Mojo continued with the development and our Dr. Bucky Lab had the pleasure to meet Niels the technical director of Lowlands to see the erection of the enormous structure a couple of days before Lowlands opened.

Back then it was still top secret and not allowed to share the pictures, now we are able to show you some images of these huge structure during the set up phase and of course once more the elevator pitch from Alvaro.
