Building weeks Trespa - Day 4

Almost all Trespa panels are cut and all groups are waiting for the wood that will be delivered tomorrow. The atmosphere in the Tec Factory is very nice and we all have a good time in the Workshop.

Today Mini Dr. Bucky Lab also paid a visit and was accompanied by Mini Nadia our new docent in the Bucky Lab. The little fellow shared a nice secret - we hope to share is soon with the world ...

Building weeks Trespa - Day 3 Noise in B&W

We write day 3 and the sound that fills the workshop is very prominent ...Trespa is quite a demanding material to work with and not only we noticed our difficulties with the material but also our neighbours...

After a short discussion we all agreed on finishing the Trespa noises till tomorrow evening and then we will tune our sounds down to a quieter level in order to keep everyone happy.

As you can see on the pictures we are already quite far and most of the projects are already taking shape. Regina our Building Physics expert paid a visit to take a couple of FLIR camera pictures in order to test one of our projects that have embedded heating strains in the trespa sheets ( more about that project later ) ...by the way thermal camera pictures doesn't look that great in Black and White ... :-)

Building weeks - Trespa - Day 2

Sent does not mean received ... to quote Tom Sachs 

Unfortunately we figured out the our wood did not arrive today, because we did not asked if our order was received ...so we have to wait till Friday till we get our material. Luckily we already received the Trespa sheets yesterday and therefore we were able to start building today nevertheless.

So all hands on deck and surprisingly the groups made already a good progress. The Tec Factory feels good and we all like the space, the only thing that bothers our photographer is the mixed light - daylight and fluorescent tubes doesn't make great pictures ... so black and white tomorrow ?

Building weeks Trespa - Day 1

Here we go, day one of our building weeks started. As usual the team of Festool Netherlands joined and helped us to give a proper introduction to the tools.

As usual our Dr. Bucky Lab was busy explaining how to make coffee and wasn't able to take many pictures but here a few to give you a short impression about our new location in Delft. The tec factory is a wonderful and inspiring place in which also the Nuna is made as also other impressive projects from the TU Delft and other start ups.
