We ordered a few sets of work horses already last year, 4 arrived directly the other 8 now...to be honest we had hoped that the people in China had enough time to count the nuts before packing...and that there was also enough time to cut all metal parts into the same lenghts...it seems that the PRO label on the boxes is not meant to be used from professionals but that you have to be one assembling them...
So a nice test for us to give our powertools a spin an explain how blind riveting works. And lesson teached: Dont be cheap on tools, you will pay double at the end or what Dr. Bucky Lab always says: "I dont have money to buy cheap tools", we are very pleased that we will also use the Walko system next week.
this blog is dedicated to the Bucky Lab from the TU Delft faculty of Architecture. Within the mastercourse we design, develop and at the end build architecture and building construction related prototypes. Its a "get your hands dirty" approach in which the students learn how to translate concepts from sketch into working prototypes. We try to live the spirit of buckminster fuller: what ever you can imagine, you can also build!
