this blog is dedicated to the Bucky Lab from the TU Delft faculty of Architecture. Within the mastercourse we design, develop and at the end build architecture and building construction related prototypes. Its a "get your hands dirty" approach in which the students learn how to translate concepts from sketch into working prototypes. We try to live the spirit of buckminster fuller: what ever you can imagine, you can also build!

BUILDING WITH SAND WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS NEEDED
We had an interesting meeting with Rijkswaterstraat and the Deltaprogram. They started an initiative to build
more sustanable pavillions at the shoreline, and during the Oerol festival on the dutch island Terschelling they will have a workshop and will build a first pilot project according the Superadobe principle.
For the period of 10th till 15th of June they are searching for 5 students to join their team to build a pavillion out of sand during the festival.
The costs for participation, accommodation, catering and the entrance for the festival will be covered, so if you like to spent a week on the Oerol festival and build a dome in the dunes, be fast and send an email to
janneke.van.berlo(at)rws.nl deadline is the 25th of may !
Here some infos about the project principle: http://calearth.org/
