usually we should write about day 6 of our building weeks but we have something else to share ...
It took some time but now we are happy to share our first book of our new REAL series. The first book is about the Bucky Lab and gives an insight of our mobile workshop, the course and the projects we have done the last 10 years.
As an educational concept the Bucky Lab is great succes and we would like to encourage everyone to copy the concept for design and engineering education.
Ulrich Knaack interviewed our Dr. Bucky Lab and the book unveils a couple of secrets and funny anecdotes.
Soon the hard copy version will be available at NAI but next to this the book is also online available as an open access book at our TU Delft books site. here is the book online.
A huge thanks to all the students who have contributed and joined the course the last 10 years.
this blog is dedicated to the Bucky Lab from the TU Delft faculty of Architecture. Within the mastercourse we design, develop and at the end build architecture and building construction related prototypes. Its a "get your hands dirty" approach in which the students learn how to translate concepts from sketch into working prototypes. We try to live the spirit of buckminster fuller: what ever you can imagine, you can also build!
